Lily is a Great Dane that has been blind since a bizarre medical condition required that she have both eyes removed. For the last 5 years, Maddison, another Great Dane, has been her sight. The two are, of course, inseparable.

I just wish someone would understand where I’m coming from. I hate meeting someone for the first time, especially adults - his relatives, and I could sense them silently judging me. The way they look at me, making the situation uncomfortable. They don’t even give me a chance - they don’t try to get to see who I am. It’s as if I’m not good enough for them. I guess I don’t really know how to make a good impression, but what can I do other than just stand there when I know I’m already being judged. It shouldn’t matter but damn, I’ve got to admit, it bugs me. Adults are the worst critics.
